ABOUT
I continually strive to incorporate and integrate dance into the medical, science, and artistic fields by creating and authoring new dance science research to benefit dancers, educators, and medical practitioners. In the past, I have given lectures, presentations, and interactive workshops at various international dance science conferences including the International Association of Dance Medicine and Science’s Annual Conference, The Healthy Approaches in the Training of Performing Artists Annual Conference, and The American Society for Biomechanics Annual Conference.
RESEARCH INTERESTS
My current and future research focuses on creating a unique niche, emphasizing contemporary and modern dance techniques present in both the concert dance and commercial dance culture. This research would shed new light on these specific dance styles with emphasis on topics ranging from biomechanics, movement education, motor control/motor learning, performance enhancement, and injury prevention.
