Dance Science Educator

I believe in a holistic approach to dance education merging technical, artistic, and scientific practices in both the classroom and studio settings. Incorporation of both kinesthetic and visual components help to create moments of mindfulness, discovery, and application.

When students are able to analyze movement, viewing aesthetic, technical, and scientific components, they gain a more intimate understanding of how their own body works. This inspires practical, personal application but hopefully also instills in students the ability to pass this information on to the next generation to create smarter, safer, and more thoughtful dancers and educators. Thus, more than a technique, students are developing the way they think about dance.
